Story

This fundraising page is for me (Richard Trott) and Steven Meikle

After taking about it for awhile now I gone and registered for 160ft Bungee jump to raise money & awareness for St Andrew's Hospice.

You may know already that I'm not great with heights, I was recently at an assault course and it ended with a 30 foot drop and I stood at the top thinking I can't do this and if I can't do this how can I bungee 160 ft? but its nothing compared to what people at the hospice are facing and the commitment & support the staff give every day to patients and family.

The support the staff gave me and my family during my Mum's time at the hospice was amazing and I can't thank them enough, So if you can spare a few £s to sponsor me that would be great as without your support its just a fat bloke jumping off a crane with elastic bands tied to his feet.

My brave nephew Steven has also agreed to do the jump as well so now I need to do it so he doesn't show me up.

St. Andrew’s Hospice endeavours to provide a high standard of specialist palliative care to the people of Lanarkshire, encompassing human dignity and compassion. As Lanarkshire's only specialist palliative care hospice, we provide multidisciplinary support for our patients, their families and carers. Whilst we receive funding from NHS Lanarkshire and other sources, this only partially covers our running costs. Continued provision of these services is only made possible by the generosity and assistance of the people of Lanarkshire.
