Story
I am running the London Marathon in aid of a local charity called The Injury Minimisation Programme for Schools (IMPS), which teaches children how to stay safe and cope in an emergency.
IMPS runs sessions with over 5,000 children per year through their schools, and over 1,000 adults in Oxfordshire. These sessions are at school, then a hospital visit and then follow up activities including getting the 10 year olds to teach the adults.
The IMPS charity is based directly across the road from our family home at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington in Oxford, so is part of the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Charitable Funds and its work includes St.Andrew's School in Headington where our sons Freddie and Max are pupils.
