Story
I'm Robert, I have a diagnosis of ADHD and learning disibility. My support staff are helping write this with me. I really want to find a job and offer society and my local community something. In 2014/2015 only 7,430 people aged 18-64 with a learning disablity have a paid job in the UK. It is hard to find a job becuase i struggle in social situations and sometimes doubt my own abilites. My support staff and I had a chat about how i can build my CV and also help people at the same time. I decided my job will be that i am a fundraiser. This will help me meet new people and also help others by raising money.
My first fundraising challange will be to Walk to every London football clubs stadium in the English professional League over the football season from London Liverpool Street. I live in Essex and Liverpool street is the end of the line for me. Some stadiums are closer than others however i excited about the challange and also the people i will meet on my journey. I want to dontate the money i raise to SportsAid who are a UK charity that helps the next generation of British sport stars at the start of their careers when their parents are their only other means of support. The charity helps these athletes by giving them cash awards to help them meet the cost of training and competing.
