Story
I have lived in London for over 4 years now, three of which living at mile 7 of the London Marathon route.
In the three years of living in Greenwich, I could only dream of running as various excuses held me back. Watching the runners stream past in envy and in aww.
Last September I started jogging in my lunch hours, eventually joining in with parkrun. In March I entered my first paid race, a relay of the Manchester Marathon where I ran the last 8 miles, and by June I'd completed my first half marathon. Well that was it, I was hooked on running.
When my running friends were receiving news on their ballot entries to the London Marathon I couldn't resist seeing if I could enter through a charity place, and well here I am! Supporting the great work at Richard House Hospice and running 26.2 miles in April.
