Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Rich Cook, Paul O'Connor and Rona Mitchell are running in the 2014 Bristol Half Marathon in honour of Christopher Blackford whose life was tragically cut short at the age of 33 after being diagnosed with Bowel Cancer. Chris is greatly missed by his friends and family: his wife, children, sister, Mum (Roberta) and Dad (Nick).

We are raising funds for the West Bowel Cancer Trust.

BCW will aim to improve the way we diagnose and treat patients with bowel cancer by supporting training and research in this area.

Early diagnosis, screening, genetics, endoscopy, radiology, surgery, anaethesia, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and palliative care are all key components in the care pathway for bowel cancer patients. In all these areas we can improve opportunities for training and research for doctors, nurses and allied health professionals.

Please support us and honour Chris by sponsoring us in the Bristol Half Marathon

Thanks for your support
