Story
My name is Jason and I am Zeke's dad, and I will be running the Worthing and District Harriers Lido 4 mile run on the 27th of January 2013 to raise money for the Hospital that helped us spend the most amazing 3 months with him.
I found out I was to become a dad on the 27 of November 2011. It was not all smooth sailing as we were told at my wife’s 20 week scan he had Tricuspid Artesia, which basically means one side of his heart had not formed correctly.
Zeke was born the 18th of July 2012 and underwent two heart operations before he was 2 weeks old, he came home in August and we spent 14 weeks with our cheeky boy, he fought so hard to be with us and had shown us how strong he was.
He become ill with a cold on the 1st of October and we took him back to our local Hospital, he came home on the 17th after fighting the cold, he was again admitted on the 24 as he was showing signs of breathing problems and with his feeding and we were due to take him home on the 26th but sadly Zeke become very ill in the early hours of the 26th, he again fought hard till my wife and I were able to be by his side but he couldn't fight his battle any more and died at 12.16pm on the 26th of October 2012.
We are so thankful to the Evelina and it's amazing doctors for the chance they gave us to spend the 3 months with Zeke, we got a chance to see his character come through and he showed us what an amazing smile he had.
This hospital needs all the help it can get to help families like us and to build futures for these children.
Even £1 will make all the difference
Thank you
