We support research & wellbeing projects to help those with childhood brain tumours

Story

On Sunday 5th October a group of Abingdon School boys and parents are running the Blenheim 10k and half marathon in support of Blue Skye Thinking.

The charity is very close to all our hearts, as Skye Hall – the 5 year old son of the Abingdon Head of Sport and the boys’ inspirational hockey coach, Andrew Hall – recently died just a year after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour.  As boys and parents, we first met Skye at the age of 3, playing hockey with his dad at the side of the pitch after matches.  Over the past year Skye has inspired us all with his strength and bravery – as well as his jokes and smiles on Facebook.  Through his ‘Loom to the Moon’ challenge, he has reached thousands of people from around the world, who helped him to create the world’s longest loom band, in a bid to raise money for brain tumour research.

Blue Skye Thinking is a charity, set up by Skye and his family, which supports research so that children who are diagnosed with brain tumours will have a better chance of survival and a better quality of life post treatment.  The charity is run by volunteers and all money donated goes directly to the forefront of Research and Treatment.  For more information visit www.blueskyethinking.org

On behalf of Skye, and all the Hall family, please donate as generously as you can.
