Last year I lost a much loved friend and colleague, Ted, to this vicious cancer.  Its heartbreaking to see such a promising life be extinguished, and the sadness and loss of all those close to that person.  I also lost my Nan to this cancer too, and know many other people who have also lost family.

Whilst Ted was still fighting, my colleagues and I stood along side him as part of Team Ted to support him in his battle.  We walked 26 odd miles through the night in the Shine Marathon, did bake sales, and wore daft jumpers at Christmas amongst other things. Ted was an awesome person and we will always continue our support even now he is no longer with us, for the continuing strength of his wife Lou and for those who are still fighting.
