Story

I have decided to take part in the three peaks 12 hour challenge. I have taken this challenge on along with fellow Harrogate Operatic player members. We are raising money in aid of Saint Michael's hospice, HOPs’ charity of the year and a very important charity in the Harrogate area - any donation you can make will be gratefully received.

Due to covid the 3 peaks was unfortunately postponed from 2020 and them 1 was recovering from having covid in 2021. I will now be taking on the challenge on the17th September 2022.

Saint Michael's Hospice is here to help people affected by terminal illness to live as full a life as possible. They do this by providing hospice care to people in the Harrogate district living with terminal illness. They also help others to offer hospice standard care to local people. The hospice touches the lives of 1 in every 3 people within the community. Saint Michael's is here for people who need extra support on top of the day-to-day care they receive from GPs, district nurses, hospital teams and nursing home staff. Without the hospice, these people could be left to face the complex issues and forgotten challenges of terminal illness alone. They care for people with a variety of terminal illnesses, including heart failure, respiratory illnesses and neurological conditions; as well as cancer. They care in people's homes, hospitals, care homes and at their hospice.
