In memory of Adrian "Spud" Slater
We provide end of life care services to local people.

Story

Adrian "Spud" Slater was diagnosed with Cancer in 2015 and underwent a life changing operation on the 26 June 2015.

Spud battled hard in the following months and made good progress. He had a lovely Family Christmas with Sarah, his wife and 2 Daughters Ellie and Evie culminating in a Trip to New York.

On return he had the results of a scan he had before Christmas and sadly it showed the Cancer had returned. He started Chemotherapy almost immediately and things were going well.

In March further scans showed that the Chemo had not worked and there was no more that could be done. Adrian was given months to live and sadly on the 27 June 2016 he lost his brave and spirited battle.

St Wilfrids nurses showed the utmost professionalism and compassion to Adrian and the whole family during the most difficult of times. and it is only fitting that we give something back to this marvellous cause.

Thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses and staff at St Wilfrids you provide an amazing service.
