Story
A month today (on 27th June), I'll be taking a leap of courage to join a number of our beautiful Courage on the Catwalk alumni models and some of their daughters as we take to the skies for Friends of ANCHOR!
Every year now since COTC started in 2013, I've had the privilege of getting to know a new group of 24 immensely brave women as they inspire and encourage thousands through their stories of fighting a cancer diagnosis.
This challenge is a way of saying "hat's off" ladies, to join them in a challenge needing an ounce (or tonne for some of us!) of bravery and to raise funds for a cause we all feel so fiercely passionate about.
With the group of us jumping in June, a week after what would have been Mum's 61st birthday, it'll also be my little way of saying "gone but never forgotten" to the very first and most special courageous cancer warrior I knew.
To raise money for Friends of ANCHOR-funded research that will take us another step closer to finding a cure for a disease that affects too many of those close to us. To make the time in the ANCHOR Unit as positive and comfortable an environment as it can be for those going through cancer treatment through wellbeing provision and the latest equipment. And to stand united in the fight against cancer.
Any donations, large or small, would be greatly appreciated.
To add to the challenge from the time of writing this page (27th May PM) until the jump itself on 27th June my two guilty pleasures - coffee and chocolate - are officially off limits!
I'll resist in the name of charity....yikes...poor Ally having to live with me (caffeine and choc deprived!) for the next month ;)
Thank-you in advance to anyone who sponsors!
