Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.Earlier this year my family and I were devastated by the news that my Dad had been diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. This was identified from a routine body scan because his legs had been quite swollen. Our hearts were broken on 21st February 2015.Dad chose to find out as least as possible but had to spend one week in hospital. During his stay, we were informed that his cancer was too advanced for any treatment. It had already aggressively spread to his liver. We were told that we should expect a few months.Dad came home and insisted on us as a family to continue with our everyday lives- he hated a fuss. He took to his bed upstairs and this is where he would stay.Sadly, Dad deteriorated rapidly and peacefully passed away just 4 weeks later surrounded by those he loved- 18th March 2015.He was 70 years old and still working upto 5 weeks prior to his diagnosis. Even the night before he passed he was still attempting to get out of bed and go to work. Throughout his life he had feared Drs and hospitals which makes me even prouder to know that he came home and fearlessly faced his death. He refused to talk to any of us and just said that as long as we were ok, he was.My dad was such an inoffensive, polite and hardworking gentleman. 
He had no symptoms- this is what makes me determined to raise as much as possible to fund the research for the cure of this evil disease.Pancreatic cancer has the worst survival rate of all the cancers out there. It often lies dormant until it's too late. Please help me raise as much as possible for this worthy cause. 
I couldn't help my dad so this is the only way I feel I can help him and any other family experiencing the same.

My way of coping has been to make my parents proud of who they have brought me up to be. My dad can rest in peace knowing he did an amazing job of being our Dad!
