Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My friends, family and I have just taken part in this year's Midnight Walk in Bristol in aid of St Peter's Hospice in memory of my husband James.

TEAM SMITHER consists of Sarah Smither, Judy Smither, Rachael Smither, Jo Povey, Pridie Tiernan, Valentina Riva, Sarah Ashwell Pugh and Jane Quan.

We had a wonderful evening walking with almost 1500 other ladies and are thrilled to have smashed our fundraising target - huge thanks to everyone who donated and you can still donate now if you haven't yet!

James was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the beginning of 2012 and sadly passed away on March 16th aged just 33. St Peter's Hospice cared for him during the last two weeks of his life and we are eternally grateful for their compassion, expertise and understanding that made those last two weeks so special.

St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's only adult hospice and only receives 25% of its funding from the NHS. It costs over £6.5million a year to keep this amazing place running so please give generously.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
