It’s been over 12 years since either of us have run a half marathon and it was going to have to be a huge reason to persuade us to run that far again! For us, it doesn’t get any bigger than this. We are very proud to be taking part in this year’s Bath Half Marathon in honour and in memory of the inspirational Tash Lewis. Tragically, Tash was out for a training run in the early hours of 7th April 2021 and was involved in a devastating car accident. She is deeply missed by all that knew her and has left a huge empty space in the hearts and lives of many. Tash approached everything in life with determination, a bright smile and a commitment to be the best she could, and she inspired us all to be the same. She leaves behind a huge legacy and taking part in this half marathon is one way of supporting her.

We are running for The Bath Rugby Foundation, a charity that Tash and her fiancé Dave have supported tirelessly through their work at Get Fit in Bath, which they set up together 8 years ago. The Bath Rugby Foundation’s purpose is to empower vulnerable children and young people in Bath and the surrounding area to succeed. They exist to bridge the gap between the poorest and most affluent areas, and build a positive, supportive community. This year Dave and Tash were to be made ambassadors for the Bath Rugby Foundation in recognition of their amazing fundraising and support of the charity.

Tash was hoping to run this year’s Bath Half in 75mins. We’re hoping we’ve completed the first lap of the course in that time! But in true Tash style, we’ll be trying to be the best we can…..Tash, this one’s for you!
