Story
On the 6th May 2013, a number of us will be cycling from Trafford General Hospital, Davyhulme, Manchester, to the Cenotaph in St Ives, Cornwall. The ride will be undertaken in Memory of Sgt Paul Fox, 28 Engineer Regiment, who, at the age of 34, was killed by an improvised explosive device while on a foot patrol in Southern Nad 'Ali, Helmand Province, Afghanistan on Friday 26th February 2010. The aim of the charity cycle ride is to raise funds for The Royal British Legion
The relevance of the start point is the place of Paul’s birth and the finish point is where a memorial to Paul stands as a testament to his bravery and sacrifice.
The charity ride will take place over a 6 day period, starting Monday 6th May and finishing on Saturday 11th May 2013. It is anticipated that a number of riders will join us for the first and last day of the ride.
