Story

Hi, My name is Shauna. For as long as I can remember I’ve had long hair and I’ve decided to cut my ponytail off for the Rapunzel Foundation.

The Rapunzel Foundation are a charity that aim to improve the lives of children and young adults who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment and alopaecia. 14 inches of my hair will be donated to the  charity where they will use it to make a wig for a person in need.

Furthermore, I’ve decided to set this page up to fundraise as much money as I can for the Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust as it’s a charity close to my heart. The Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust are a charity specifically dedicated to supporting people in Ireland who have Leukemia, Lymphoma or Myeloma and have had or may need a stem cell transplant. They also support the running of the Haematology Department in St James’s Hospital, Dublin, in the National Allogeneic Transplant Center. This is the only location where an adult can receive a sibling or matched unrelated donor stem cell transplant.

It would mean the world to me if you could donate a small amount to this cause. Thank you so much :)

About the charity

Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust supports patients and their families who have leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma. We also support all aspects of the Stem Cell Transplant Program in St. James's Hospital, including research into leukaemia and related diseases.
