This will be my first (+ possibly last) half-marathon for 18years! I'm hoping to beat my previous best time of 2hrs 5mins and go under 2hrs. As a friend said, 'shame on you if you don't - you've obviously not been training hard enough'. That was all the incentive I needed but I also wanted to use the opportunity to raise money for a charity which directly touches a couple of friends of mine. One has a son with CF and another is involved setting up the unit for young adults with CF.
