EMMAUS: SUPPORTING PEOPLE OUT OF HOMELESSNESS

Sheila believed whole-heartedly in the aims of Emmaus: to (her words) "give a man a bed for the night, and a reason to get out of it". She was a trustee of Emmaus Coventry, always fighting to give more chances and to keep the door open to the most vulnerable people. Though Sheila was always inclined to offer cash to anyone asking on the street, she knew that it would take longer term investment and support to help anyone get back on their feet and integrated into work and community, and that's what Emmaus provides.
