Story

In 2014 Simon Ellison (my daughter in laws brother) died suddenly and without warning from a brain tumor he didnt know he had,  he was just 39. The following year the family held a fundraising event in Simons memory, to raise money for the Brain Tumor Charity. I wanted to do something to help, to contribute so, i did a 30 mile sponsored walk from my hime to the event and helped towards raising £3700. This year on 20th June, im walking again, but this time 50 miles over 2 days, sleeping rough over night. Why the sleeping rough i hear you ask? In many cases physical illness can have a profound effect on an individuals mental health, if their coping mechenisms fail and they have no family of friends to support them their whole world just falls apart so, next time you see a homeless person, step into their shoes for a moment and imagine why, not just another drunk.

If you'd like to walk with me, i'd love to hear from you, you can do 1 mile or 50 miles if you wish, i can offer you some top quality cardboard to sleep on, more people, more sponsorship.

This time i'd like to raise £5000 so, please if you cant join me, give me your money, as much as you can, help me to help this important charity make a difference, none of us know what the future holds. All my love to you and yours Sal X
