In 2016, I was part of the fantastic Tour de Sez team which cycled from St Malo to Bilbao, a distance of 650 miles. This September, that effort is being taken to the next level as a larger group of us will set out to cycle 750 miles from St Malo to Amsterdam. The amount of work which goes into the organisation of getting 100 cyclists to complete this effort, along with all of the necessary support vehicles and staff cannot be underestimated. It is, quite simply, a huge logistical task and one which I know our organising committee will do to the highest level of quality enabling we mere cyclists to concentrate on getting our part of the deal done.

So, the inevitable question - why ?

In 2013, Guernsey girl Sarah Groves was tragically murdered on a houseboat in Kashmir. Due to Sarah's insatiable love of life, together with her desire to make a change in the world and her determination to help as many people as she could, the Sarah Groves Foundation has been established as a Charitable Trust. It will focus on Sarah's inspirations and aspirations which cam from art, children, and fitness. This fund will continue Sarah's legacy which is all about helping others and achieving one's dreams.
