Story
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU- even just visitng my page means a lot to me (even if you are just wanting to giggle at me in my cycling lycra- photos of padded shorts to follow..)! So a few months ago I decided to take part in the British Heart Foundation's London to Brighton Cycle (its 56 miles for those of you who are curious) and yes, I admit, that at the time, I had no bike, no helmet, no shorts, no lock...and to be honest, no clue. But a few months down the line I am proud to say that I have most of the above and have been training hard in the gym and on Captain James (thats the name of my bike, of course) and am hoping to put in a good effort on Sunday June 17th. Needless to say, I may have to lie down for around a week after I have finished the ride which I will hope to complete in under 8 hours. Now, to the reason I am cycling for the BHF; as some of you may know, a few years ago my uncle very sadly died of an unexpected heart attack and it really brought home the importance of heart health to our family. The British Heart Foundation work tirelessly every year to help save lives and keep families together, and with nearly 2.7 million people living in the UK with heart disease..theres a lot of help and support to give. So if you would like to donate to this very worthy cause, I would be very very very happy, as this is a cause that is quite literally close to my heart. There is no donation too small, thank you xx
