I'm Walking the Wight My Way!

Sophie Lenox is raising money for Mountbatten Isle of Wight
In memory of Patrick Tobin
A virtual version of Mountbatten's iconic fundraising event.

Story

Mum and I will follow the coastal path to complete a lap of the Isle of Wight in 6-stages, over 3 weekends in May, covering a total distance of approximately 50 miles.

We are completing 'Walk the Wight My Way' in memory of Patrick Tobin, who passed away peacefully at home on 29 April. He spent a few weeks at the Mountbatten Hospice in Newport, and his final week at home with the nurses from the Hospice visiting to care for him. They were amazing. We are so grateful to all the Mountbatten team.

It is so important that, even during this challenging time, the most vulnerable are cared for when they need it the most.  It is only with our help that Mountbatten can continue to be there for Island people in the last years of life, when the time comes to die and to help those left behind come to terms with their loss. Without our support, Mountbatten cannot afford to deliver the services they do, as well as meet the needs of the increasing number of people who need care and support.

Please help us by making a donation of whatever you can afford. Every penny will make a difference. Mountbatten, and Island people facing death, dying and bereavement, are counting on us!
