Sophie was born on Mon 25/06/12 at just 3lbs 1oz after arriving early at just 32 weeks. Shortly after settling in to her new home in a little incubator in Derby's Royal Neonatal Intensive Care Unit it was discovered she had a heart defect, Pulmonary Stenosis and a hole in the heart. She will need multiple operations in Leicester's Glenfield Hospital on her heart to correct it. 1 week later (time of writing this) and that's where we are, her loving parents helping her fight her tiny battle. The aim of this is to raise awareness and raise money for the Derby Royal Neonatal Unit who put their heart and soul into looking after premature babies and give them all the care they need to be as strong enough for the big wide world.
