Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am completing a number of charity challenges throughout 2022, raising money for Berwick Cancer Cars, in memory of my mum, Gillian Ainslie, who sadly passed away in November 2019. She always encouraged exercise as a way of healthy living, so all of the challenges are outdoor focused - you can read about them through the links below.

I have chosen Berwick Cancer Cars as my charity, for all the great work they do in providing free transport for any cancer sufferer to all major hospitals in the area (e.g. Wansbeck, Newcastle, Borders General and Edinburgh) to any cancer related appointment. Throughout my mums treatment, Berwick cancer cars were always supportive and offered weekly lifts, as they do for many other local sufferers. The group is entirely made up of volunteers and rely on the help and support of everyone in the community to keep things going!

[please see my other Charity page, specific to the 2022 Edinburgh Marathon, which is raising money for Borders General Macmillan Services]
