Steve was an active committee member of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Kidney Patients Association, a charity that supports kidney patients and their families. He used his experience of home dialysis and transplantation to reassurance patients who were suffering with kidney failure. He always had a positive outlook, no matter what was thrown at him.

Steve passed away on 23rd December 2016 after being diagnosed with cancer only 6 weeks earlier.

The funeral is being held at 1pm on Friday 13th January at Charmock Richard crematorium, followed by a wake at Leyland Golf Club. 

Steve's family kindly request donations to the charity, rather than funeral flowers, to help raise funds for the charity that Steve believed so passionately in supporting.
