After a year without racing, I will be returning to the trails to run the West Highland Way Challenge in Paul's memory. This is a 96-mile ultra-marathon, starting in Fort William on 29 May 2021, travelling through Glen Nevis, Glencoe and along the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond before finishing in Milngavie on 30 May.

For those of you who have been following my fundraising in recent years, you'll recognise that quote I opened with. It's something that was said about my brother after he passed away after living his life with Cystic Fibrosis. Since taking up running in 2016 it's a quote that I think about regularly when I'm in difficult spots. I run in Paul's memory in the hope that in the future CF is not something people need to worry about. It's something that is cured. 

All going well with the COVID 19 recovery there will be some more races to come and I will be keeping my page open until the end of 2021.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
