Thanks for visiting my charity page. This September I’m taking on the Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. 

This means no alcohol for a whole month. To some people this may seem un-challenging but unfortunately for me, alcohol is something that has become a regular taunt in my daily routine. I have seen the effects of alcohol addiction and poisoning through my own uncle which some of my only memories of him consist of bright yellow skin and bloodshot eyes. 

Cancer has affected my family and I have both survivors and deaths from this disease. My admiration goes out to my family and everyone else who has or is dealing with Cancer and the absolute devastation it causes by taking a loved one in such a humiliating way. 

This year there have been amazing breakthrough in cancer research including the possibility of a treatment which actually programs the body to eat cancer cells. I believe cancer like all other illnesses can be beaten and it's important that every now and again, we all spare a little for the greater good.
