Story
Thanks for visiting our page. Niall Blair was an amazing and loving partner, son, grandson, brother, cousin, friend and we all miss him dearly. He was an outstanding sportsman across the board winning national medals in athletics and rugby throughout his school life before bravely embarking on a soccer scholarship in the US. That’s not all, he had the best and most relaxed golf swing you’ve ever seen normally stepping onto the tee saying ‘I haven’t played golf in months boys!’ Then he would very calmly hit a shot slap bang down the middle of the fairway or 2ft from the pin. No big deal for Niall. He was a natural athlete and he excelled academically which shows in his university results as well as his achievements in the work place. Niall was always there for me and that goes for every single one of his family and friends. Always supportive and a lot of fun to be around. As friends and family of Nially B we are all aiming to collectively raise money for the British Heart Foundation's research and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has been immensely supportive to Niall’s family throughout. Niall died in August 2017 due to SADS (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome) and was supposed to be taking part in the Great Scottish Run 10k hence why we are running in his name and proudly supporting the BHF to raise funds and awareness of the charity and the amazing work they do. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help us continue to beat our target and more. Thanks! - Craig McGinlay
