Helen, Laura, Sue, Gill, Ang, Emma and Lynn are running the Lichfield Half Marathon in memory of our friend Geraldine Agnew.

With the support of some amazing friends and family we are training hard and hope to raise money for Headway. Headway works to improve life after brain injury. Provides information, support and services to people affected by brain injury, their family and Carers.

You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.

My reason for doing the Lichfield Half Marathon, or any marathon for that matter is quite simple, one special lady Geraldine Agnew!!! She touched many of our lives over the years in one way or another, she was one of a kind!!!!

To say we were shocked when we heard the news of Geraldine's death was an understatement, and even now find it hard to make any sense of it!!! So a few of us, decided that we wanted to do a challenge to celebrate our good friend's life and also raise some money for a worthwhile charity, so some bright spark, not mentioning any names...Laura Acton, suggested a half marathon!!! Well those of you that know us, know that after a couple of glasses of wine we will agree to anything!!! But you know, yes it is a challenge and there are days that i, or the others dont want to get out there and put the hours and miles in!!! Its not easy, but we have all bonded in our grief and determination to do this!!!!

Yes, we will finish it!! Whether i finish it on my hands & knees !!!
