Story
Last year I lost the best person in my life – my sister, my best friend and my rock.
Nicole inspired and touched so many lives, she was the bravest person I know, a beacon of positivity and strength who will be forever missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
During her battle against biliary cancer Nicki vowed to raise money for a charity that gave her so much support and encouragement during some of her darkest days. In her absence I fully intend to do everything I can to keep this promise for her.
Macmillan funds nurses and other specialist health care professionals and builds cancer care centres. They are a constant source of support, helping with all the things that people affected by cancer want and need. It’s not only patients who live with cancer; they also help carers, families and communities.
With the support of my amazing friends running alongside me, I am running the WR10K on 27th September for Macmillan. A special thank you has to be said for Jamie Hoffman who has the misfortune of getting me race ready. Without her persuasive support, dedication and optimism I would more than likely still be falling on my face.
Please help and support us in any way you can to raise money for Macmillan – a charity that meant so much to my sister and every person affected by this vicious disease.
Nicoles fearless courage will not be forgotten and her legacy will burn bright through the people that love her so very much.
