We support people affected by cancer to help them cope with their experience

Story

My beautiful wife Katie Gordon who I have shared the most fantastic 14 years with was tragically taken from us on Tuesday 2nd September.

Not only was she a wonderful wife she was also a devoted and caring mother to our children Hannah and Ben.

In her honour we ask for flowers only from immediate family at her funeral. Any other donations can be made here to The Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre (www.ljmc.co.uk), which would be gratefully received.

Katie was about to start voluntary work at their centre at Mount Vernon Hospital providing support to those affected by cancer. As a former oncology nurse she was desperate to return to any form of nursing/care and I am sure she would have been a huge asset to their organisation.

About the charity

The Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre supports people affected by cancer. At the drop-in centre at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, people will find a friendly face, a listening ear and answers to their questions about cancer and its treatments. Services also include complementary therapies and counselling.
