Recently my Father in Law was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.  This came out of the blue and was a complete shock that this could happen to a man who was still playing football in to his late 50's and up until only last year was heavily involved with coaching and running Wythall Juniors FC for kids of all ages.  This debilitating condition is progressive and effects the ability to do the most simplest of day to day activities.  We are doing this event so we can donate all proceeds to the MND Association to assist in funding them to provide care, awareness and research for sufferers.  

By the way personally, for me this challenge could not be any more difficult as I can't stand flying and am scared of heights.
