Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I learnt to ride a unicycle 5 years ago. It took me 2 weeks to ride about 20 metres! My children learnt how to ride in 2 days!! My wife took a lot of encouragement but sadly gave up after having been successful in riding 5 metres! It is not for everyone. It takes a lot of perseverance and a lot of patience but it is good for the soul, good for the core(!) and it makes people smile.

I can see the South Downs from our cottage in Sussex and on 21st June I shall be unicycling from Eastbourne to Winchester on my beautiful, blue 29 inch wheel. I know that this will be a huge challenge for me but I am giving myself 3 days to do it and will be joined by my good friend, Neil Laughton, on his Penny Farthing!

Come and cheer us on and you will be guaranteed a smile!

I have chosen to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. My father might have still been alive today if they had caught it in time. My father was a marathon runner and he always wanted to run along the length of the South Downs Way, so by doing this on one wheel will make him look down on us and smile!

I shall be posting updates here on my Just Giving page and also on my Facebook page (search for Tom Clowes)
