Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the London Marathon this year as my 2015 "Bobby Challenge". As most will know, my twin brother Bobby was killed on the 30th April 2013. Since then, I have been trying to approach life as he did: challenging himself every day and striving to push his mental and physical strength at every opportunity. This hasn’t been easy, but I have been helped along with the support of those around me. I want to make sure I do what I can as a thanks, and after running for Poppy Scotland last year, I have decided to run for The Royal British Legion this year.
This charity provides help for veterans and their families and has provided support for our family since Bobby passed.
Bobby used his talents to help others whenever he could, whether teaching children, coaching teams or fund raising. I know he would approve of my support of the Royal British Legion.
I said this last year,
too, but with every training session I can hear Bobby pushing me to go a little
faster, a little harder. Completing another Marathon will be a testament to the
strength I have gained from him and to the strength he used and showed regularly. I know he will be running alongside
me, again.
To those of you who have sponsored me before, I am so thankful, and hope that
you will be able to show your support again. To those who are supporting me
this year – thank you in advance!
