Story

Len, Gareth and I used to work with Adam in the city.  Adam and I have kept in touch with each others ups and downs and family news over the years.  So it was with shock and heartbreak that I followed Adam and his families traumatic turn of events when Orla was diagnosed with Brain Cancer and was devastated for them when she lost her battle to the disease last year. We all wanted to do something to help raise money for Adam and Naomi's fundraising campaign in Orlas memory to build a new Cancer Centre for children at Great Ormond Street.

So we have decided to do the National Three Peaks Challenge in 24 Hours on 11/12th June.  This involves climbing the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours.

In addition to these plans my friend Jen Carter-Horner and I had  also decided to challenge ourselves this year to run our first ever marathon - the Virtual London Marathon on April 21st.  As Great Ormond Street is also a charity close to Jen's heart, after her son Harry received treatment there as a young child,  she would also like to raise funds for Orla and to help GOSH expand to help many more children in the future.

So this page is for donations to any of the 4 of us across these two tough challenges - please donate to make a difference to such an important place for our children when they need the best care and to help something positive come out of a devastating and incomprehensible loss for such a lovely family.

Thankyou

Kate, Len, Gareth and Jen
