Mind Your Step is a charity event set up in memory of Jamie Margetts who sadly lost his battle against a long term mental health illness in October 2016, at the age of 41 years old.

The Challenge, walking the 45 miles from Ladybower Resevoir to Derby, aims to raise awareness of the struggles faced by people with mental health illnesses on a daily basis, to encourage participation in exercise for the mental health benefits it brings and raise money for Mind, the mental health charity.

 Mental health issues affect so many of us in so many ways - even if you can't donate, please take the time to reach out to those around you; 1 in every 4 people suffer from mental health issues, and it may be your friends, your co-workers, your partners or your family. Two years ago, I managed to finish the first Mind Your Step walk in about 16 hours - and I was younger and fitter back then! But with your support, I'm hoping to repeat the feat in 2019, and raise some money for an amazing cause in Jamie's memory.
