Story
Hi everyone!
I'm going to be participating in Great Ormond Street Hospital's '60 Miles in June' fundraising event, where I'll be walking at least 2 miles each day to help raise money for the hospital that was instrumental in my childhood.
I'll be aiming to double it to make 120 miles!
I was born with a rare condition called 'crossed polydactyly' (it sounds like a dinosaur, I know). Long story short, this meant I was born with additional/conjoined toes and 1 extra finger (since removed, but I still have my lovely double pinky finger that looks like an elephant squashed it) , leading to extensive and debilitating physical complications with my feet for much of my childhood. I underwent various surgeries in aid of this from birth to 17, giving me my ability to walk, run and experience a quality of life I would never have had otherwise.
Great Ormond Street has given me so much, so I thought it would be suitable to give back through a venture dedicated to walking!
It would be amazing if anyone could donate, they're truly a wonderful organisation and deserve the utmost regard.
Thank you :)
