On 20th July I will be competing against 9 other couples in the Strictly Charity event. I have 10 weeks to learn how to dance - 1 Ballroom and 1 Latin dance - having never danced before in my life, apart from dad dancing and my first dance at our wedding! My inspiration for this is my brother in law, Kevin Snashall, who was an incredible dancer and teacher at Ipswich School of dancing and was highly successful throughout his career. Kevin sadly died at the age of 42, but I would like to think that my attempts at dancing would have brought a smile to his face on what would be his birthday.

My partner will be my wife Julie, who began dancing over 40 years ago at Ipswich School of Dancing. She hasn’t danced competitively for 30 years but together we hope to raise funds for a wonderful charity doing great work for youngsters in our community, helping them to gain skills, build self esteem and confidence to help them find the right path in life.

Fingers crossed we raise lots of money and do Kevin proud on his birthday.
