As I'm serving military, and my wife is an optometrist in the NHS, it seemed only right that my charity event for 2017 should combine the two. 

Blind Veterans, formerly St Dunstans, is a fantastic charity helping veterans overcome the challenge of sight loss. It's something nobody wants to face up to, but for people in the forces, feeling like you are losing your independence can be crushing. 

I want to raise a decent amount to help people who have served their country, because no-one should have to battle blindness alone. 

My personal challenge is to ride for the entire 24 hours (loo breaks taken into account) around Brands Hatch race course as part of the Revolve24 endurance challenge. I'd like to cover at least 200 miles, 250 would be a great target.
