Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be running the Greater Manchester Marathon 2012 in memory of my mum, who sadly passed away on 23rd November 2011. She knew how much I had wanted to run a Marathon, yet could never get a place. After a 10 year absence, this one is back and fingers crossed I aim to complete the 26.2 miles in under 5 hours.
All donations will be going to Willow Wood Hospice - a place my mum enjoyed visiting.
Willow Wood is a purpose-built Hospice providing specialist Palliative Care to those suffering with life-threatening illnesses.
It currently costs over £2 million per year to run the Hospice, but no charge is made for any of their services. Therefore fundraising is an essential source of their income.
