Taking on 26 Miles for Young Epilepsy 💜
This year I’m taking on a 26-mile challenge to raise money and awareness for Young Epilepsy - a charity that means so much to me and my family.
This is the third year I’ve taken on this challenge, and each year it feels just as important and personal as the first.
I’m doing this because when my daughter was just 9 months old, she began having tonic clonic seizures. At 11 months old, she was diagnosed with epilepsy and started on medication. It was one of the scariest times of our lives — full of uncertainty, hospital visits, and so many questions about what the future might hold.
Fast forward to today, she turning 4… and she is absolutely thriving. She has been successfully weaned off her medication and is doing amazingly well. Watching her grow in confidence, strength and happiness has been nothing short of incredible.
Epilepsy affects so many families, often in ways people don’t see. That’s why raising awareness is just as important as raising funds — so more children and parents can get the support, understanding and research they deserve.
Alongside my 26-mile challenge, I’ll also be holding a bake sale and raffle to boost my fundraising efforts. Every donation, every cake bought, and every raffle ticket purchased will help make a difference.
If you’d like to support me, I would be so grateful. Together, we can help create brighter futures for children living with epilepsy.
Thank you so much for reading and supporting our journey 💜
