Story

Thank you so much for visiting Team Tri4Alisha's fundraising page in aid of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation!

Our 87-strong team will be competing in the Blenheim Palace Triathlon on Sunday 4th June, in the Team Relay, Super Sprint and Sprint categories.

We’re all coming together in memory of Alisha Douglas, who passed away in February 2016 from a rare type of non-smoker's lung cancer.

Alisha was incredibly fit and active throughout her 29 years, and after completing the Olympic distance London Triathlon, Blenheim was the next one on her list! So, her close friends and family wanted to bring people together for a bit of organised fun, a healthy dose of self-challenge, and a big picnic (some of Alisha’s favourite things!)

We’re keen to raise as much money as possible to help fund the vital research the foundation carry out, as well as raising awareness of the commonly overlooked symptoms of the UK’s most fatal cancer. Persistent coughs, chest/back pains and breathlessness should not be overlooked, no matter how young or ‘healthy’ someone may be.

Competitors, spectators and distant supporters alike, can buy Team Tri4Alisha sports t-shirts by placing their order via the link below. Shirts will be available for collection from Blenheim on the morning of the event. £2 per shirt will go straight to the charity.

Many thanks for all your support!
