Story
At some stage, when this all started, running a marathon seemed like a really good idea and a challenge that just had to be accepted. Now, I think it's probably the height of insanity!
However, London's calling and must be run!
I'm running for Guide Dogs in memory of my best friend from childhood, Rachel who went blind in her 20's due to diabetes and had guide dogs until her death 9 years ago.
18.04.10: 1 week to go!! Suddenly after all the planning, THE day is nearly here. Only a couple of short runs left before hitting the streets of London which is a slightly scary thought. Now I just have to trust the training plan will get me around and hope that I'll still be standing at the end!
04.04.10: Easter Day!: 3 weeks to go, and so far I've run 400+ miles in training, gone through 2 pairs of trainers and have more black toenails than I care to mention!! Only another 90 miles to run before we hit the start-line. I'm looking foward to tapering and carb loading now!! Now it's up to you guys to get me to my sponsorship target!
Please help me raise £1500 for Guide Dogs so that others can benefit from these amazing animals.
