We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

A year ago Nicole led a small team of us on this same 10K walk, raising a massive £4250.  She was then in good health and had defied the initial odds after her diagnosis with terminal brain cancer just over eighteen months earlier.

By Christmas, the GBM brain tumour had returned and Nicole died on 26 July this year.   She was 45 years old.  Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40.

Current research does offer real hope to prolong life of other sufferers but less than 2% of the money spent on cancer research in the UK is spent on brain tumours.  The Brain Tumour Charity relies totally on voluntary donations, so
please join us walking (link below) or help to raise vital funds.

This year team is much larger but the huge hole left by its missing leader will be felt every step of the way.  We know that Nicole would have had us all take a turn pushing her in the wheelchair if she were still with us.

It is only recently that friends, family and even strangers have given so generously to Brook in memory of Nicole.  So in her words, "it doesn't need to be a lot of money" this time round, any gestures will be hugely appreciated.

Thank you for reading this.  Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
