I'm taking on my biggest challenge to date; Rat Race's The Wall ultra marathon is a 69 mile, one day running challenge. It follows alongside Hadrian's Wall from Carlisle to Newcastle.

Having only run a couple of marathons and several half marathons over the past few years this challenge will really test me to my limits. To put the race into content I'll be running 69 miles (111 kilometres) or  5.25 Great North Runs, or 2.6 London Marathons or 1156 lengths of St James Park football pitch! All within 24 hours!

The challenge starts at 700am on Saturday 18th June and ends at 700am on Sunday 19th June - Father's Day. Since my dad was a keen runner I thought it fitting to run in his memory and raise funds for the Greath North Air Ambulance.
