I'm doing the Staffordshire Half Ironman, which consists of a 1.2 mile open water swim, 56 mile bike ride followed by a 13.1 run. 

I'm raising money for Kidney Research UK as my close friend, who I've known for 20yrs  is suffering from end stage renal failure & is in need of a transplant. She is an amazing person who is very strong & has supported me over the years on many occasions & I would now like to give something in return that would help her & many others suffering from kidney disease. This wonderful charity does research into potential cures & provides support for people affected by this debilitating & life threatening illness.
