On Sunday 28th April 2013 I am running the Greater Manchester Marathon - my first marathon - 26.2 miles!

I am running the marathon in memory of Lynn Tyson who sadly lost her battle against breast cancer in October 2012 at the age of 53.

I have chosen to run for Dove House Hospice who cared for Lynn during her illness.

Dove House Hospice care for people with an illness that can no longer be cured. The care includes physical, social, psychological and spiritual support to patients throughout their illness.

Their total yearly running costs are £5.6 million. They have funding for the equivalent of 48 days per year. The funds for the remaining 317 days are raised via donations and fundraising.
