Story

To highlight the aim of the Global Goals for Sustainable Development to "empower and promote the social, economic and political inclusion of all", the Institute for Sustainability and Science Central teams are walking to 2030 to raise money for North East Trust for Aphasia. In the spirit of the "leave no one behind" agenda, our teams are multi-national, composed of the super fit to couch potato to 8 months pregnant! 

Goal: For the combined Institute for Sustainability and Science Central teams of 15 members to walk 2030 km in 28 days.

The North East Trust for Aphasia (NETA) supports people with aphasia and their carers. Aphasia means difficulties with communication, often following stroke. The person with aphasia can have problems speaking, understanding, reading and writing. This can have major effects for both the person and their family in terms of social life, work and relationships.
