Story
Imagine you are told that you have cancer, not understanding why it happened to you. Your life becomes a nightmare.
Now imagine your 5 years old.
And on top of all of this you have chemotherapy and lose you're hair. You're insecure, you're confused and when ever you go out, other children stare.
Then you get told that people will donate their real hair to make a wig for you, to make you happy. Now this might not seem like a big deal, but to a child this means the world.
A family member of mine has suffered from alopecia- a condition that causes you to lose you're hair over a period of time. She has been suffering for a number of years and only two years ago decided to get a wig.
This has completely boosted her confidence and she stands a little taller, lifts her chin a little higher. Alopecia does run in my family and I wouldn't be surprised if my daughter or son has it too.
I feel passionately about this cause, and I hope you understand my feeling too after reading this.
If you have donated, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
