Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I created this page to raise money for a cause close to my heart. I lost my daughter because I had a rare condition during pregnancy called Vasa Praevia. Sophie was one day old when she died.

Vasa Praevia can be diagnosed during pregnancy but the scan to diagnose it is not routine and so, because of this, around 555 babies needlessly die a year, all of which could be saved with one simple scan.

To honour Sophie's memory, we want to raise as much money as we can for this cause as well as raising awareness about this heartbreaking condition.

To find out more about Vasa Praevia please visit www.vasapraevia.co.uk

To raise as much money as we can for this worthy cause my partner Jim, and 8 others are taking part in a sponsored cycle along Hadrian's Wall on the 10th May 2014 in 24 hours. All in memory if our gorgeous, precious baby girl who left us far too soon.

Please donate as much as you can so that we can create more awareness and others do not have to go through the heartache that we feel everyday.
